WHAT IS ATARI8.COM?

Atari8.com is a group of Atari 8-bit computer enthusiasts from the 'old daze' that refuse to give up their love of these wonderful machines. We figured that since some of the fan sites for Atari 8-bit systems are starting to disappear, we would start our own, and keep it around FOREVER! (Ahem, well... as long as humanly possible.) We aim to have a one-stop-shopping approach to information and discussions about the Atari 8-bit computers in a friendly and professional manner. Yes, thats a tall order, but with your help, we can achieve this goal! Come and Join us! Share your love of the 8-bit!

The Boot Factory

I must have read every inch of content on this site. It really reminded me of my initial bbs experience.

Mr. Atari

How this got overlooked is beyond me. Need NEW innovative hardware for your 8-bit atari? An IDE Hard drive interface? Yeah - this is your guy.

AtariSIO - Linux

This is awesome. I was all proud of my little dohickey (ATAR/UX), but this guy took it to the next level: Kernel module, Curses GUI, great way of handling Atari ATR images, real 8-bit disks (through the 1050), and an image server so you can have your atr disks hosted from a Linux Box connected to your 8-bit atari.

SIO2PC Schematics

Schematics and instructions for Nick Kennedy's SIO2PC interface.

The RS-232 serial port on your PC and the SIO serial port on your Atari 8 bitter are quite similar. There are some differences, however and the SIO2PC interface is designed to accommodate these

XFORMER 2000

Xformer 2000 version 8.0 is a free Atari 800/800XL/130XE emulator for Windows. Use it to run your favorite Atari 8-bit games, BASIC programs, and Atari demos on your Windows computer. It is based on Gemulator 2000, but has all the Atari ST and Apple Macintosh emulation emulation removed so as to use less disk space and less memory if you do need those features.

Local mirrored copy is attached.

Atari800Win PLus

Atari 8-bit emulator for windows.
A mirrored copy of the installer is attached.
